The Joy of BlogBirth

Yep, froze over. Finally got started on the new blog. So, it's almost 2am and I've finally got the first pics uploaded and ready to go. I had planned to start some new posts tonight, but Tippi (the wolf dog) decided during our afternoon walk earlier through downtown that she wanted to meet a poodle on the other side of the street.
I forget how strong wolves are sometimes...
She totally caught me off guard. Ten seconds in total and I was off my feet, horizontal and airborne still clutching at her leash, back on the ground and still being dragged. God, this poor unsuspecting guy walking his poodle. Probably almost peed himself - a big, determined, lunging, body-dragging wolf coming at him and FiFi, or Frou-Frou or whatever the poodle's name was. Fortunately, Tippi is about the sweetest thing on four legs & just wanted to make new friends. Turns out FiFi's owner's also owns an antique shop I walk past almost every day downtown, and he clued me into his "not advertised" secret stash of old books up on the top floor after he ascertained that he and the poodle were not about to become dinner. Actually, Tippi and little FiFi dog played together quite well while I remembered how to breathe and think at the same time. Tippi is so happy to have a new friend.
On my end, I came out of all this with the rest of the day at the clinic and a pretty new arm sling thanks to a dislocated shoulder.
Once I can walk again I will definitely have to go visit the upstairs trove of old books. For now, I'm taking my battered & bruised self to bed. I'll continue tomorrow or the next day or whenever the little pills the nice doctor gave me kick in. That should make for some interesting posts. Stay tuned.
